Two test result samples are summarized in this section. Figure 6 shows the test results on a customer’s machine, for an 8 section, single gob, 3 gob weight production. The target gob weights are 430gram, 450 gram, and 460gram respectively. 5gram gob weight discrepancy was observed. A fine tune step was performed. 6 gram of the set points. A typical actual situation for an uncontrolled (no closed loop control) plunger is plotted in Figure 5, which shows the variation over time of the plunger rise time for a particular cavity. The periodic decrease in rise time, which occurs at approximately 300 cycle intervals, is particularly notable.
